How do I get in touch with the administrators of the Learning Center?
You can contact us at: [email protected]
For instructor-led courses, you will also have a Course Administrator who assists the instructor with technical and platform issues. They will share their contact information at the start of a course.
-
Do I need to be an Inclusiv member to access courses?
Different courses have different eligibility. Generally, we prioritize enrolling staff from Inclusiv member institutions. Inclusiv members also receive discounts on course prices (or, in some cases, they enroll for free). Courses that are members-only will be noted in the course description.
Non-member credit unions can enroll in most courses and pay full tuition price. Some courses, such as our Clean Energy courses offered in partnership with the UNH Center for Impact Finance, are open to financial institutions outside of credit unions.
And we have a few courses that are free and open to anyone, anytime -- namely, our Resilient Solar + Storage (Solar y Almacenamiento Resiliente) course as well as Intro to Solar Finance. These courses were developed with grant funding and remain free to access.
-
Do you offer disability accommodations for these courses?
Congruent with Inclusiv's mission of financial inclusion, we want everyone to be able to fully take part in our courses.
Most Inclusiv courses already include:
- PDF copies of slides with transcripts
- Closed captions, where transcripts are not available
- At-your-own-pace lessons that allow you to pause, rewind, and review content
- No time limits on quizzes or assignments (which are also all open-book!)
- Alt text or narration explaining important visuals and appropriate levels of contrast
If you need accommodations—whether that’s related to a disability, a personal challenge that might affect deadlines, or a tech issue (like your computer lacking a microphone)—please let us know prior to starting a course.
You don’t have to share details you’re not comfortable with. Just reach out and we’ll work together to figure out a solution that works for you. [email protected]
-
Do you have a policy against discrimination and harassment?
Inclusiv is committed to providing a respectful, inclusive learning environment free from discrimination or harassment. Discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, veteran status, marital status, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated.
Participants who engage in such behavior may be removed from the course. If you experience or witness discrimination or harassment, please contact Inclusiv at [email protected] so that the matter can be addressed promptly and with discretion.
-
Who are the instructors?
We work with subject matter experts who design and lead courses to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
-
What types of course formats do you offer?
We offer a variety of courses in different delivery methods:
- Self-paced courses
- Instructor-led courses
- Hybrid courses (some self-paced content, some instructor-led pieces)
- Live webinars and workshops
- In-person trainings and workshops
In each case, we ensure that the learning method is appropriate for the subject and depth of the learning objectives.
-
How much time will I spend on an Inclusiv online course?
It depends! Each of our course descriptions will tell you about how much time to expect to spend on a course.
Some, like our on-demand, totally asynchronous courses, just require 2-4 hours total to give a general overview of a new subject. Others, like our 8-week instructor-led courses, ask you to commit 5-8 hours per week in a rigorous, interactive learning process that will prepare you to launch a new product or program.
The more you put in, the more you get out of each course.
-
Are sessions recorded?
Most live sessions are recorded. Participants agree to be in recorded sessions as part of the Course Waiver required at the beginning of each instructor-led course.
-
Do I need to sign the waiver?
Each course opens with a Course Waiver. Signing is required to participate. If the waiver is not signed, you will not be allowed to continue in the learning activities or the course(s).
Here is a copy of our current course waiver:
-
Are Inclusiv's courses accredited? Do they offer continuing education credits?
If accreditation or continuing education credits apply, it will be clearly noted in the course description.
Inclusiv is an accredited provider of continuing education for COSSEC (Corporación Pública para la Supervisión y Seguro de Cooperativas de Puerto Rico).
Our instructor-led clean energy courses in partnership with the University of New Hampshire's Center for Impact Finance offer graduates a digital badge, equivalent to a 3-credit-hour graduate-level course, which will count toward a Master's in Community Development degree at UNH. (Courses include: Green Home Consumer Lending, Commercial Solar Lending)
All multi-week, instructor-led courses offer a Certificate of Completion, which you can share on LinkedIn or with colleagues to demonstrate your commitment to professional development.
-
What is the value of a Certificate for Inclusiv courses?
All multi-week, instructor-led courses offer a Certificate of Completion, which you can share on LinkedIn or with colleagues to demonstrate your commitment to professional development.
-
Do any Inclusiv courses satisfy NCUA requirements?
Our Bank Secrecy Act Training is delivered by a compliance expert and is valid as the required BSA/AML/OFAC training required by NCUA regulation § 748.2(c)(4).
At this time, no other Inclusiv trainings satisfy specific NCUA requirements.
-
What are the course technical and hardware requirements?
For all courses, you should have:
- A trustworthy Internet connection with reasonable bandwidth
- A computer (Recommended: At least 16GB of RAM)
- A compatible web browser
- Thinkific works on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android or any other device with a modern web browser.
- We recommend that you update your web browser to the most recent available version.
- Ability to access the website genially.com. If not, please check in with your IT team to whitelist the website. Several of our learning modules are hosted on this site. Contact your course administrator if you have trouble viewing them.
For instructor-led (live) courses, you should also have:
- A computer with a camera and microphone to participate in live sessions.
- If your work computer does not have a camera, that's OK, but we do need a microphone and audio to be able to communicate with you!
- Zoom, ideally downloaded to your computer, but the browser version will work as well.
-
What should I do if I experience technical difficulties in Thinkific?
- Refresh your browser or log out and back in.
- Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
- If the issue continues, email [email protected] for support.
-
Do you have a mobile app?
Yes! You can download the Thinkific app on Google Play or App Store.
When logging in for the first time, the Thinkific app may ask you to create an account if you don’t already have one.
To find us in the app, type “Inclusiv Learning” in the search bar. From there, you can access our site and view your course.

-
Can I take courses using the mobile app on my mobile device?
The Thinkific app is compatible with Android and iOS devices (phones and tablets).
You can access our learning platform via mobile app if you prefer. Some assignments are better completed using a computer (e.g., use of worksheets or Excel templates) and most learning videos/modules are designed for viewing in a web browser on a traditional computer. Issues with accessing content on the mobile app or while using a smartphone do not excuse participants for submitting assignments or reviewing content.
-
Can I attend live sessions using the mobile app on my device?
Live class sessions are hosted on Zoom, not on the Thinkific platform, so you would not be able to access class sessions directly from the Thinkific mobile app.
We generally expect participants to attend live virtual sessions using a laptop or desktop computer, using the desktop Zoom application. Computer users have an easier time participating in polls, breakout rooms, and the chat; they can also more easily view any slides used in a live session.
-

-
Can I withdraw and get a refund for a self-paced course?
We do not offer refunds or credits for self-paced courses. Students have 6 months after their registration date to complete a self-paced course.
Inclusiv may grant an extension to this 6-month period (email [email protected]).
-
Can Inclusiv remove a registered or enrolled student from a course?
Inclusiv has the right to remove participants from courses who:
- Register for a course without meeting eligibility requirements. If this occurs, the student will receive a full refund.
- Violate Inclusiv’s discrimination and harassment policy or fail to conduct themselves in an appropriately professional manner in online environments. The granting of a refund in this case is at the sole discretion of Inclusiv.
